Our Sydney School Holiday basketball Camps develop players’ skills. Every School Holidays we run 6 hour Basketball camps for 6-18 year olds with experienced coaches. Campers receive quality coaching from Sydney’s best coaches, we’ve have guest appearances from Sydney Kings players and mascot in the past.

Who are the teachers

JAMIE ANDERSON

Coach Jamie Anderson has extensive international coaching and playing experience. He is qualified with Basketball Australia to Level 2 and has come to be regarded as one of the best basketball coaches in Sydney. A national scholarship athlete with UK Sport, he played several seasons in the English first division as point guard with the Manchester Magic. Jamie also played professionally for Poza Rica, Mexico and played in several summer leagues in the USA.

Jamie spent six seasons coaching teams in Ireland, Australia and the USA. He has worked closely with Networks coaching program in North Carolina, where he developed many of his coaching strategies and beliefs. Jamie currently works as the Director of Coaching at East’s Basketball League and City Hoops. During this time he has developed many of the current coaching programs.

 

 

WAYNE MCDANIEL

Wayne McDaniel, originally from San Francisco, came to Australia back in 1983 to play for The Adelaide 36ers. Mac is a 4 Time Australian National Basketball League All Star, voted one of the Top 25 Players ever to play in Australia. His career consisted of thirteen (13) Stellar seasons for Geelong, Newcastle & Hobart. In the process the 6'6" forward became the 3rd Highest Scorer in League History behind Leroy Loggins and The Great Andrew Gaze. Mac currently coaches the Open Women's Easts Basketball representative team (SCL) and the Elite Coaching Clinics.

As of the 2013–14 NBL season, Wayne McDaniel sits 3rd on the NBL's highest career points average with 26.5 per game 3rd in career 40+ point games (22) 2nd in career 30+ point season averages (4), 9th in field goals made in a single game (24 vs Adelaide 36ers in 1989), 10th in most points in a single game with 57 vs Adelaide in 1989.
